What I thought was a speed bump turned out to be a hill, and now that I have conquered it, things at the firm seem to be sliding swimmingly. So much so that I have even the time to help a fellow trainee (swamped at the last minute) out with some vague research points, feel ill and take a day off, etc. Things seem to be interesting enough, or at least the drama does, to keep me occupied in these days, but mostly the activity is mundane. I often wonder to myself secretly whether I would feel better about this once I get to go to court, or once I get paid, for shame.
I guess we'll see when the time comes. Though I should probably count myself lucky that I haven't been terribly disappointed, even if I haven't been pleasantly surprised either.
